David’s Tasks

About My Tasks

David’s Day was built mainly to help me complete the various tasks I have to do. However, it has grown into much more than that now—though task reminders are still important.

This page has been split into three sections. Open tasks, completed tasks and discarded tasks. A brief description for each is shown in the boxes below. Though I think the titles for each box are self-explanatory.

David’s Tasks

Openended Tasks

Think of this as my “To-Do” list. These tasks include tasks that are both new or have been rescheduled.

Rescheduled Tasks

Think of this as my “To-Do” list. These tasks include tasks that are both new or have been rescheduled.

There are no open tasks! Either I have been good or lagging by not adding any!

Completed Tasks:

Yeah! I’ve done something! Completed a task. These are listed in reverse order of posting and not in order of completion. And are here for reference.

Buy Wedding Insurance
Buy Clear Tidy Storage Boxes
Sort out Storage Unit with Mike
Take Lily to the vets for her yearly injection

Discarded Tasks:

These tasks have been discarded as incomplete or irrelevant. This can happen with time-sensitive stuff, but in my case, it is more likely I forgot to do it. Hence the building of this site.

Task Notes

I have updated the “David’s Day: To Do List” task.

The additions include adding a new section to the home page to be used as a Whiteboard. This could be achieved using a new custom post type with custom taxonomies. These can be pulled through via shortcodes. And change the diary entries from noindex to index—we are talking SEO here—and link to the individual diary entries. Previously, these formed part of a page and not stand-alone posts. David’s Day: To-Do List

Change How Tasks Appear on the Home Page

In my original design for Bulleted—now David’s Day—I would have the list of open tasks in a prominent position on the home page. For some reason, I don’t have this. Instead, tasks are listed towards the bottom of the page. So, I need to find a way of reorganising the home page to make this work.
