My not-quite brother-in-law, Sean is celebrating his birthday today—not-quite, because Sean has been engaged to my sister-in-law Lucy for twenty-plus years.
My aunt, Grace Margaret Rose Thompson (nee …), was born on this day in 1931. Grace was my mother’s sister.
Allyson, my lady wife’s business partner of more than twenty years, celebrates her birthday today. Her age…let’s say getting on.
My father-in-law, Peter Douglas Eric Edbrooke, died aged 69 on the 4th of January, 2000.
Remembering February
My parents, Frank John Frederick Stainer and Mary Teresa Bridgeman married on this day in 1956.
I was born on this day in 1962, but I don’t remember it! It was the day that John Glenn went into space.
My father-in-law, Peter Douglas Eric Edbrooke, was born on this day in 1931.

My secondborn and only daughter, Bethany, was born on this day, and I cut her umbilical cord.
My eldest granddaughter Evie was born on this day. Life has not been the same since, but in a good great way!

My grandfather, on my father’s side, Victor Herbert Walston Stainer, was born on this day in 1905.
I married my current wife, OK, my one and only wife, on the 2nd of September 1989 at The Church of Saint Mary Magdalen, Sheet, Petersfield.
My father, Frank John Frederick Stainer, died on this day in 2007.
My aunt, Doreen Louise Mary Ford (nee Stainer), died on this day in 2018. Doreen was my father’s sister.
